Dr. Leonel Awokang, DC

Chiropractic Physician

“My philosophy is to empower patients so they have better outcomes when it comes to managing their pain and their health.”

Dr. Leonel Awokang was born in Douala, Cameroon and moved to the United States at the age of 6 years old. He grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts, a small town north of Boston, where he attended Lynn English High School. For his undergraduate education, Dr. Awokang attended Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science there while also competing at the NCAA Division II level on the men’s soccer team. Dr. Awokang then attended Northeast College of Health Sciences where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine degree.

Dr. Awokang came from a family of healthcare providers, so he always knew he wanted to help people. His love for healthy living and staying active also helped lead his decision in choosing chiropractic care as his career path. He feels that being a chiropractor is one of the ways he can make a positive impact in our community.
