Dr. Dave Holleran, DPT, AIB-VR

Dr. Dave Holleran is a dedicated Physical Therapist with extensive experience in the field. He holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
With a passion for enhancing patient mobility and quality of life, Dr. Dave specializes in orthopedic, vestibular, and sports rehabilitation. His clinical approach integrates evidence-based practices with personalized care plans, ensuring each patient receives the most effective and tailored treatment possible.
Dr. Dave earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Buffalo, where he developed a strong foundation in both clinical practice and research. While he was studying exercise science and physical therapy he also participated in a US Navy study investigating the effects of underwater submersion and ventilation through a supplemental oxygen tank on exercise performance and capacity.
He also was involved with a US Fire Fighter study investigating the effects of a hot environment and carrying firefighter equipment on running performance and VO2 max. Another independent research study involved: Exercise as Medicine, which was a 12 week kettlebell resistance training program to investigate the effects of resistance training on blood glucose.
While he was in Buffalo he also volunteered at the NHL Combine where he performed strength and ROM testing on NHL recruits. He has since accumulated experience working in various healthcare settings, from outpatient clinics to home care. After graduating, Dr. Dave, worked in outpatient orthopedics at an outpatient rehab facility and performance center in northern Pennsylvania before moving to Florida. While in Florida, he continued to work in outpatient orthopedics before joining us here at Advanced Medical of Florida (AMF).
Dr. Dave studied the Movement Control Approach which is a treatment based classification system to help patients reach their full functional capacity. He also holds a certification from the American Institute of Balance as a Vestibular Rehab Specialist. More recently, he completed a workshop in an ultrasound guided dry needling course at the University of St. Augustine.
His commitment to professional growth is evident through his continuous education and participation in advanced training workshops.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Dave is an avid football fan and enjoys the outdoors. His holistic approach to health and well-being extends into his personal life, where he emphasizes the importance of balance and self-care.
